View of Burnt Coat Harbor Lighthouse from the ocean.
The living room overlooks the Western Way to the east, and has long views out to sea, with Marshall Island and Isle au Haut visible to the southwest.
The bedroom has a double bed and a seating area by the window. The window has views across the harbor to the old quarry in Minturn, and is a great spot for watching lobster boats, schooners and pleasure craft entering and leaving the harbor.
The lighthouse is adjacent to a town park, with 1.8 miles of trails and access to two beaches. Swan’s Island village has a small but well-stocked general store, with a takeout restaurant. For more information about visiting Swan’s Island, check out Planning a Visit FAQs and Things to Do.

What Visitors Have To Say

What a magic place. Sun and moon glinting off the water. The lighthouse beam in the trees, the sound of a gentle surf when the tide is in. The bellbuoy ringing in the channel. Wonderful sunsets …

The view out our window - moonlight on the ocean, porpoises, giant owls - plus the sound of the gong, and the wild berries…truly a special experience.

You truly have a treasure…. perched out here atop the rocks with the vast sea at the doorstep…. we watched a bright moon spilling its light onto the water, listening to the music of the waves, and wondering anew at the stars emerging in the dark sky….

We just stayed there and it is tremendous. The view and setting is amazing. The quality of the Keeper's house (2nd floor) is excellent. It is fresh, well decorated and spacious.

We are fortunate to have traveled to many places in this world, but still contend, by far, this is the prettiest place on earth. Stay in the keeper's house - you will not be disappointed!!!! It is special.
